Hamid Rahimian Kalatebali was born in a small town in Iran in 1987. He received his AS and B.Sc (Honors) degrees in Computer Hardware Engineering from Mazandaran University of Science and Technology, Iran in 2009 and 2012 respectively. His B.Sc. final year project was ”cardiac monitoring along with alerting for reduced risk of heart rate,” which was selected as the best final year project by the computer department of university. This honor led him to focus more on this area of research. His research interests span a wide range of topics in Human-Computer Interaction, Brain/Body-Machine Interfaces, Cybernetic and Portable Healthcare Devices.

After graduation he was actively engaged in academic and research projects in private clinics until he was selected to be a member of the Young Researchers and Elite Club in Islamic Azad University from 2012 to 2014. Then he won a rare research position at the Scientific Association on Professional and Technical University to pass the compulsory military services from 2013 to 2015.
